Altman and others should resign from civic board

I read, with great interest, the various responses in the Chadds Ford Post about the travesty of democratic principles that occurred with the recent elections of officers of the Chadds Ford Civic Association. I note in this week's Chadds Ford Post, the rantings of the sore loser Paul Koch, who I now know, on the basis of what has happened with the Chadds Ford Civic Association and his recent comments, is a Republican, and a very partisan one as well. He is a director in the Chadds Ford Civic Association, which we also know now is an extremely partisan Republican organization.

Instead of addressing the moral failing of the association of which he is a director, this individual chose instead to rail on with partisan politics about Joe Sestak who has not yet been sworn into office. What a shame that such an individual is in any position to influence anything in our community.

Shame on him and all those who associate with him and others like him. Marc Altman and anyone else who had anything to do with the illegal solicitation of proxy ballots at the polling place on Election Day should resign. I do not think that the principles espoused by these individuals are those for which our young men and women are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan.
